A funny related story:

A couple of guildies (3-4) and I were trying to get a Thunderhead Keep run in. We made up the rest of our party with PUGers, including a nuker. From the get-go this nuker was scolded by the rest of the team for his wannabe-tank tactics. Of course, all the while that he was standing at the fringe of my radar tanking the next mob he was complaining about why he wasn't getting heals from myself and the other monk. When King Ironhammer opened the gate after we had cleared the city, I asked permission (on guild chat) to let the nuker die. And I did. And he did. We told him why he was dead. He left. We lost. But it sure was satisfying to watch him die (while knowing that I actually could have saved him that time).

It's amazing how many people are out there just to get a rise out of you. Kudos to everyone who has kept a cool head -- don't fuel the fire!

Either you dont play many PUG, or you can consider yourself quite lucky considering that was the biggest jerk you met, just an ordinary idiot..

it is a delight for me when i meet a complete jerk in Gw because it is funny to watch them pose and try and use l33t speak like " i pwnzoor all n00bs" and "your all F**King n00bs", as they run in to the fight a get slaughted and afterwards when the fight is over our party walks over there corspe/s.
also enougher thing that makes me laugh is the people who say no noob offers on trade chat. most of the time i whisp them and say "can i buy it i am a noob?" there recaction makes me laugh for hours.

My latest one was recently in a UW trip I was a monk with two other monks. Alarm bells starting ringing when i see the jerk of my story was a Mo/W. So in we go, no one talks to the NPC which is good, so we proced to kill the starting attaxs, and low and behold... who runs up with mending and balthazars spirit on....

Mr 55!

I shout to the rest of the party that we've picked up a Mo/W using 55 build, then after answering everyones questions on what the 55 build is they all then understand... including the warriors who knew what this guy was after... so... they get aggro as best they can meaning Mr 55 dies due to no energy and no one healing him. (He didn't have spell breaker or an inturrpt) Then comes the "Res me" from him.... to which i replied to everyone don't waste your res sig's.... Someone uses rebirth and he dies straight away so we all then starting laughing as we do the "passing the 55 monk" game for a bit! All the time Mr 55 is going "res me". So we leave him and carry on, all the time getting "res me" every 2 seconds.
Then, lo and behold i get an ecto drop! So, me being spitefull went up to the dead corpse of Mr 55 and proceded to drop it on his dead body and picking it up going "Huumm do you want that" "Smell that ecto goodness" and words to that effect.... Guess what he said....

Yep....
You know....

My way of getting new players is like, doing Team Arenas(or some1 i meet in CA(26secutive wins) watch more chars than one at least, and then ask if they are interested to join etc. Skillfull+Manners

Hey kept going on about fusing with another guild because we needed more players etc, i explained that i didnt just wanted 10 random people in our guild because I was kinda building the guild. Since he was my best friend, he knew my pasword, got on my account, and deleted all my chars(And i had 4 PvE chars which i used for PvP as well. Gladly i didnt lost my faction etc, but i did lost my 2 FoW armor sets. I messaged him, he said then disbanded our guild(kicking everyone) and join the guild he wanted to fuse with. They didnt reach further than kryta, while we were rank6+(without iway) and earned more over 150 k faction, and all had more than 3 chars which had completed the whole game..

Out of sight, out of heart? Nah, keep hating him..

Oh man, I feel for you... did it teach you to never give out your password even to friends though?

Err no, this guy was just standing there doing nothing to help the rest of the team, even when we asked him to help out, that = Jerk in my book. He was obviously the type of rubbish 55 build that leeches off the rest of the team and tries to do them over so they can go farm smites easier.

Don't get me wrong, I know not all 55 monk suck, I use the 55 build myself solo with another monk or a necro. NOT when going in with a group of 8 people. So no, I wasn't bring an ass!

I have to agree with Rabid there. I doubt he was looking for a 55 monk, otherwise the story wouldn't be here, so the 55 monk weaseled his way into the group. I thought the story was quite amusing. Sure, dropping an ecto on his body is quite the ass-ish thing to do, but so is sneaking into a group not saying you're a 55 monk.

I recently started doing the Tombs and building up my fame (rank 1 now!).

I just hate it when people leave when you don't get a perfect 10% after killing the ghosts at the entrance.

One time we got an 8% morale boost and one monk says "you all suck" and leaves!

So we go on to win one match with the healer hench.

Why do people do this? It takes long enough to form a team, then people leave because it isn't "perfect"! I just don't get it.

I always get stuck in pvp with guys that play Guild Wars too much and they do know what they are talking about. If you lose a match you would think its the end of the world, they go around cursing and calling people noobs (which makes them look pretty damn retarded IMO)

Once i was in CA, this "Godly" monk was on our team and we win about 4 rounds and he said "We pwn, we beat all the nubs here." So then we come up against a group we all die and he starts running away meanwhile calling us noobcakes and the tipicle "Leet Talk" trash and goes on and on.

Im just curious, does calling someone a noob supposed to make them feel bad and have you feel good? I dont get it its the most retarded thing ever...

People who use noob as an insult is really lame. When I see someone talk like that I tend to think its a middle or high school teenager since they use it a lot. They should come up with better, more witty, intelligent insults. xD And people who use noob a lot seem to take the game too seriously IMO.

Some people are trying to play on a proffesional level which they CANT handle, and if they lose it must be luck, because they think they are that good...
I've did many pro games, like ut2k4 and halo2 etc on a proffesional leven(Yes i went to WCG etc..). You will always have whiners..

People which i met on the internet calling me a noob cuz i had luck( gaving them some unscope headshots

), always trying to insult etc. Then i've met them in real live, on WCG tournaments etc, and the people which are insulting are mostly like below the age of 16, with some big babys even around the age of 33(yes i met those as well..)

In other words, dont care about people insulting, they just dont wanna see their own mistakes, cuz they are ''godlike''

It could be that some people out there take online games too seriously. Everytime they lose, they just lash out on everyone and they should know its just a game. Its no big deal, they should just have fun with it and not be a jerk. =/

In CA I ran into a warrior character (IGN slightly changed to avoid breaking forum rules on posting names without permission) with the name Poopy Poop Face. I know warriors should not be attacked first but -in this case - I made what I think is an understandable exception and killed him first.
